Warming up exercises and postures (Asana) to help relax, stretch and tone the body.
- Breathing practices (Pranayama) to increase breath awareness and to help focus the mind.
- Relaxation practices to allow the body and mind to unwind.
- Sometimes within a class there may be meditation or visualisation practice to bring focus to the mind which may help to relieve stress.
A fundamental feature of Yoga is its non-competitive stance. Since this class is mixed ability students are encouraged to work at their comfortable level. Nothing in my class is compulsory, there is always an alternative which offers you the same benefits. I tend to teach in what I would call the “Bus-Stop Approach”. This means that we work into postures and practices in stages and you simply “get off at your stop.” With such an approach you are in control of where you get off.

6.10pm to 7.10pm (Discovering Yoga)
7.30pm to 9.00pm (Yoga for all)
